Left to Right: Jean, Laura (sister), Joyce (mother) and Rachel (daughter)
We had the Traditional Tea, but a Royal Tea was also available. It included everything from the Traditional Tea plus champagne and strawberries. The Traditional Tea included a pot of tea for each person, finger sandwiches, scones and desserts. There is also a Peter Rabbit Tea for younger attendees. The Peter Rabbit menu had an animal shaped sandwich and other items that appeal to youngsters.
The Traditional Tea runs $25 per person, and the Royal Tea $35 per person. I forgot to note the price of the Peter Rabbit Tea, but I think it was also $25.
There is a wide selections of teas. We all shared so we could try different ones. The food was good. Some at the table thought the desserts were to sweet. This reviewer does not believe that is even possible. We all came hungry and left full.
The service left a little to be desired. Our server was snooty. We had trouble getting her attention for any extras like creamer. We also asked for more tea which wasn't a problem until we let it steep. The teas are all served loose, and the second pot just had extra water added. It wasn't quite hot enough, and no extra tea was added. It was a cup of warm water with a hint of tea. Of course, when we flagged her down and asked for hotter water and additional tea, she brought a completely new pot without any problems. We thought seconds should have been an entirely new pot without asking.

The Ritz-Carlton is a beautiful hotel. The building and grounds are stunning. For a special occasion, Tea at the Ritz is an option you'll want to consider.
